In our sometimes overwhelming world of communication–including U.S. mail, e-mail, text messaging, websites, Facebook, tweets and good old-fashioned telephone calls and conversation–it’s no wonder many of us are struggling to keep up with the information flow! We at Animal Protection of New Mexico are grateful for the additional media outlets to talk about the challenges animals face in our state.
But we realize that one unexpected outcome of the information highway is that some of our supporters might THINK they’re members since they receive so much information about our initiatives, but they haven’t actually taken the important, extra step to contribute financially to our work.
We understand that for some of you, being active for animals may be the extent of what you can do, and for that we are very grateful! Active volunteers make incredibly powerful our movement to help animals!
But for those of you who can afford to
join Animal Protection of New Mexico with a contribution for our life-saving work, we encourage you to do so. To a very large degree, what we accomplish for animals in this Land of Enchantment is really only limited by the resources available to us.
An annual, individual membership in APNM is just $30, the price of a nice dinner out, and we hope you agree you get a lot for your money!
Consider that just recently, APNM was
recognized by Philanthropedia, part of charity rating group, GuideStar, as one of 16 high-impact nonprofits working on a local/state level on animal welfare, rights, and protection in the U.S.!
One survey participant says it all when they describe APNM:
“It would take pages to list Animal Protection of New Mexico's accomplishments. They are a very high profile, effective organization… They have helped to improve and pass animal cruelty laws in NM, run a cruelty hotline, make sure that animal abusers are prosecuted, and assist law enforcement with confiscation and rescue of animals. They have programs that focus on domestic animals, NM wildlife, and chimpanzees who are stored for future biomedical research in NM.”
Please help APNM continue making sure animals count in New Mexico by
becoming a paid member, or even better, a
monthly donor! And when you do, please know that APNM knows it’s because of our board, staff, volunteers and supporters, all working together, that we are relevant and effective! Despite our accomplishments, we can’t and won’t rest on our laurels. Every week we are faced with new challenges to keep animals safe from harmful practices and institutionalized cruelty in our state.
But we are optimistic because we work diligently to ensure our programs matter to animals on the ground, and this resonates with you, our supporters and potential supporters.
Animal Protection of New Mexico takes very seriously its responsibility to make the biggest and best difference with our donors' hard-earned dollars. We will work hard every day to maintain your trust. We remain enormously grateful for the consistent generosity of all those who engage in our mission, and will continue to forge fundamental change in the way animals are being viewed and treated in New Mexico.
With holidays coming up, consider if you could give someone a
gift membership to APNM for a holiday gift! We can provide an attractive certificate to commemorate your gift in their name.
Thank you for helping us stand out and stand up for animals!
