EVENT: PEACEABLE KINGDOM (a documentary film by Tribe of Heart)
WHEN: Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 7:00pm
WHERE: Peace Center, 202 Harvard Dr., SE
COST: Free
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is part of the People Before Profit Film/Lecture Series.

DESCRIPTION: At a time when the public is more concerned than ever about the health and environmental problems associated with large scale factory farming, "Peaceable Kingdom" explores another angle of this unfolding story: the interconnected life journeys of farm animals, former farmers, and animal rescuers struggling against an out of control industrial system.

"Peaceable Kingdom" is a powerful film about a few people applying principles of peace, decency, and justice to other animals, and through their efforts, empowering others to expand their sphere of compassion. This film is enlightening, sometimes heartbreaking, yet heartwarming and hopeful.

Jane Goodall calls it "a Masterpiece." Other viewers write "Never before has a film made such an impact on my thoughts, dreams, and feelings in the days following its viewing," and "A most powerful film that needs to be seen by everyone."

(The film is not recommended for children.)
