Ensure State Funding for CARE

More than half of domestic violence victims delay leaving their abusive home out of concern for their companion animals. Currently, CARE receives $50,000 in state funding to help provide temporary housing and other services for these animals while the victims seek shelter. Please write to Governor Martinez and let her know that you see this program as vital to the wellbeing of all New Mexicans. Your letter can help us ensure this funding continues, and encourage an increase in funding for this life-saving work.
