APNM’s Straw Fund Needs Your Help

Animal Protection of New Mexico’s Straw Fund, a joint partnership with the City of Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department and Bernalillo County’s Animal Care Services, has ensured the availability of insulating straw as needed or requested for any backyard doghouse or other outdoor shelter within Albuquerque and Bernalillo County since 2011.

In 2014 The Straw Fund helped over 600 animals stay warm, and we'd like to be able to do that again this winter. Can you help us ensure we have a robust Straw Fund so that hundreds of animals will be more comfortable during the cold weather?

Straw is effective, inexpensive insulation—just one $7 bale can help keep three animals warm! At only $7 per bale, even small contributions to APNM’s Straw Fund go a long way toward providing wintertime protection for companion animals living outdoors. Thank you! It’s easy to contribute, and you can even do so in someone else’s name as a holiday gift! Please visit our Donation Page or call us at 505-265-2322.
