Another Inspiring Equine Fund Milestone Approaches
In this holiday season, please keep New Mexico horses, donkeys, and mules in your thoughts
Last month, we wrote to you about our equine fundraising drive, with a goal of raising $10,000 for direct assistance to needy horses. While we fell just short of our goal by Halloween, we picked up a number of new donors to the Equine Protection Fund — if you have contributed and/or shared the word about our fundraising, THANK YOU.
As of this writing, we’re just a few animals away from a milestone of 300 horses, donkeys, and mules assisted or given relief through the Fund. Via offering financial aid in Emergency Feed Assistance, Gelding Support, Vet Services, or the final gift of compassion via Trail’s End euthanasia, we are proud to have made proactive strides in helping New Mexico live up to its obligation to horses and to have reduced the burden on our overtaxed equine rescue shelters and law enforcement.
Please help us celebrate this milestone by considering a donation to the Equine Fund — any amount helps and goes directly to aid for horses — or by donating time, materials, or services to our Fund Volunteer Network. There are many, many ways to help ensure horses stay fed, healthy, and in loving homes during the cold winter months.
In this holiday season, please keep New Mexico horses, donkeys, and mules in your thoughts. Thank you!
