Office volunteers like Mary Toponce (top) are an essential part of APNM’s ability to offer extraordinary resources for the public and the animals they want to help. By volunteering every week, Mary has become a valuable part of APNM’s volunteer staff! Kristen Balzer, shown here with CEO of MVD Express, Janice Lucero, (bottom) is making sure drivers in the Albuquerque Metro area and beyond know about New Mexico’s spay-neuter license plate. Kristen met with Janice, who generously offered to display APNM’s spay-neuter license plate poster in all ten MDV Express offices! Kristen also secured permission to hang the poster in four Tullivers stores (Albuquerque and Santa Fe), PetVet, Long Leash on Life, Three Dog Bakery, and three Flying Star locations. Now that’s good thinking! |
Volunteers Matter!
Become a Part of APNM’s Volunteer Staff
With every passing month, Animal Protection of New Mexico (APNM) continues to tackle an even greater number of challenging projects in order to help the animals. Having dedicated and reliable volunteers is essential for helping us accomplish even more! APNM is looking for people who want to make a difference by helping APNM’s ambitious programs and campaigns succeed. APNM can use volunteers for all kinds of projects, but people who can regularly commit time every week are the most helpful for our ever-increasing workload. APNM’s busy staff will be able to provide ongoing project guidance, but we are looking for volunteers who understand the importance of accomplishing tasks and focusing on the work. After all, it is all about helping the animals and there is plenty to do!
If you can devote time to the animals, are committed to accomplishing specific goals, and are interested in becoming a valued volunteer, please contact Arlene Engel by email:
Arlene@apnm.org. APNM’s volunteer application is
online here.
Thank you for helping us optimize our time to make the biggest difference for the animals–they need our help more than ever!
