Heartbreak of Puppy Mill Puppies
Makes Headlines in New Mexico
APNM Provides Critical, Solid Source Material
Puppy mills and bad breeders had the glare of gigagwatt klieg lights on them this week from two major New Mexico publications, one mainstream, one alternative—both providing top-notch critical information on the subject of puppy mills and disreputable breeders.
APNM’s cruelty case administrator, Sherry Mangold, provided the media with essential information, distilled from years of experience in the field down to the clarity that will no doubt make a difference in how people choose their puppies, if they are within reading distance of today’s lead article in the “Fetch!” section of the Albuquerque Journal, or this week’s Alibi.
APNM appreciates the time dedicated by article authors Isabel Sanchez of the Journal, and Simon McCormack of the Alibi, to get this important information out to the public. A letter of appreciation to these publications may encourage continued coverage of animal issues. Please write them. The public is still largely susceptible to precious puppy faces who are too often betrayed by deadly and/or expensive illnesses incubating within. By publishing these substantial pieces of information, these publications are doing a great service to the people of New Mexico.
