APNM Cruelty Complaints Manager Sherry Mangold received a MOVE UP award from Albuquerque Mayor Marty Chávez in recognition of her volunteer work with therapy dogs at Hospice of the Sandias on Wed., July 22.
Sherry works tirelessly for APNM, answering the state’s animal cruelty hotlines and following up with law enforcement agencies to give every animal the chance of a thorough investigation. But her personal life is spent working for others as well.
Not only does Sherry train dogs and coordinate for Southwest Canine Corps of Volunteers, she takes time each week to chauffeur one of her amazing therapy dogs on visits to hospice patients.
In Jane Goodall’s words:
Every individual matters.
Every individual has a role to play.
Every individual makes a difference.
We’re lucky and so proud to have Sherry as part of our team.
Congratulations on your award, Sherry!
