2010 NM Humane Conference Registration Underway
Event to Be Held August 23 & 24, 2010

Registration for the 2010 New Mexico Humane Conference is underway. This year’s event is being organized & hosted by Animal Humane | New Mexico, the Espanola Valley Humane Society, and the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society, and will be held on August 23rd and 24th at the Albuquerque Grand Airport Hotel, right near the Albuquerque Sunport and accessible via the Airport shuttle – no need to rent a car!  The keynote speaker will be Michael Mountain, the past president and co-founder of Best Friends Animal Society.

Last year’s conference drew over 200 attendees from shelters and animal welfare organizations, who enjoyed the company of fellow animal lovers and attended courses on a wide variety of animal welfare/animal humane topics.  This year’s courses promise to be both informative and interesting. Besides our keynote speaker, there will be courses on shelter medicine (Dr. Sandra Newbury has been invited back), hands-on animal issues, management and horse shelters.

To register for the conference online, go to www.nmhumane.org and click on the “sign up” button.  Registration is $95 per person and includes breakfast and lunch for both days.  You’ll also find information regarding mail-in registration on the sign-up page.

We hope that you will accept this invitation to attend the fifth annual New Mexico Humane Conference.
